Palm™ Desktop 2.6.3 for Macintosh for use on PowerPC processor-equipped Macintosh computers can be used to synchronize with any Palm OS® handheld. Changes from previous releases include:

  • HotSync® 2.6.3 software
  • HotSync Manager supports Palm OS 4.0
  • HotSync Manager supports installing files to an expansion card (e.g. SD, MultiMedia Card)
  • Fix to Instant Palm Desktop



System Requirements:
  • Any Palm™ handheld
  • Apple Macintosh or compatible with a PowerPC processor
  • Mac OS 7.5.3 or later versions of Mac OS 7
  • 15 MB Free hard drive space
  • 8 MB free RAM
  • One available USB port if used with Palm USB Universal Cradle or PalmConnect USB Kit
    OR
  • One open serial (printer/modem) port and PalmConnect Serial Kit or Palm Serial HotSync Cradle

The web download version of Palm Desktop may not include the desktop Note Pad application and conduits required to synchronize with the Note Pad application found on some Palm handhelds (e.g. Palm m100 series, Palm m505, Palm m500, and Palm m515). You should install from the software CD that came with your handheld, or download Palm Desktop software with Note Pad.



Installing Palm™ Desktop 2.6.3 for Macintosh

Note for current Pilot Desktop 1.0 for Macintosh users:
If possible, you should perform a HotSync synchronization between your Palm handheld and the Pilot Desktop 1.0 software before installing this software.
