Palm™ Web Pro 3.0.1 for the Tungsten™ T3™ Handheld

Palm™ Tungsten™ T3 ships with Web Pro 3.0. Web Pro 3.0.1 is available as an update for Tungsten T3 users.
Version 3.0.1 includes several improvements over version 3.0:
- Speed of web downloads in proxy and proxyless modes
- Faster display rendering when switching between landscape and portrait modes
- Downloading files through the browser in proxy mode
- Handling of websites that use frames
System Requirements
- Palm Tungsten T3 Handheld
- Windows OS 98, ME, 2000, NT (4.0 service pack 6), XP
- Or -
- Mac OS 9.x to 10.2
Note: This version of Web Pro 3.0 is intended for Palm Tungsten T3 users only. This version of the application will NOT work with any other palmOne handheld or Palm OS® device.
If you own a Tungsten C, E, T, T2 or Zire 71 device, you can purchase the latest version of Web Pro from Palm Software Connection for the PC or Mac.
Windows Installation Instructions
- Download PalmWebPro30.zip (693KB ZIP File)
- Extract the file using a standard unzip utility. Note the location of the directory/folder the file is extracted to.
- Launch Palm Desktop. Select the Quick Install icon. (Install Tool on older versions of the Palm desktop software)
- Select the correct user name from the User list.
- Select the Add button.
- Locate the mathlib.prc file in the directory/folder noted in Step 1 above and double-click on it (Or click once on the file name and then click on the Open button).
- Repeat step 5 for the WebPro30a.prc and WebProCACerts.PDB files.
- Select Done and then OK. (Install Tool only, this step is unnecessary with the Palm Quick Install.)
- During the next HotSync synchronization, the Web Pro 3.0 files will be installed.
Note: You can select all files at the same time and click on Open. While holding down the Ctrl button, click on each file to select all files.
Macintosh Installation Instructions
- Download PalmWebPro30.sit (669KB SIT File)
- Your web browser should decode the file and you will see the appropriate .sit file appear on the desktop (or in your default download folder). If your web browser does not decode the file automatically, you will need to use a decoding utility (such as Aladdin Stuffit Expander) in order to decode the .sit file.
- Launch the Palm Desktop.
- Click on the HotSync menu of the Palm Desktop, select "Install Handheld Files" and pick the correct user name from the User list.
- Select Add to List. Locate the mathlib.prc file and double-click on it. (or click once and then click on Add File)
- Repeat step 4 for the WebPro30a.prc and WebProCACerts.PDB files.
- The Web Pro 3.0 files will be installed during your next HotSync operation.
