palmOne and PCCW Netvigator Provide Wireless Hotspot Surfing Experience



LifeDrive Customers in Hong Kong Get Free Wireless Internet Access

HONG KONG, May 24, 2005 -- palmOne, Inc. (Nasdaq: PLMO) today announced that the LifeDrive™ mobile manager - an innovative product that fuses business productivity tools and entertainment applications - will be supported with an offer from PCCW Netvigator, Hong Kong's largest Wi-Fi network provider.

Designed for people with a significant volume of digital information, the LifeDrive mobile manager offers 4GB of hard-drive storage (3.85GB user available), a large 320x480 high-resolution colour screen, and wireless access through in-built Wi-Fi and Bluetooth® wireless technologies.1

• access POP, IMAP and Exchange email accounts;
• download the latest calendar appointments from the office;
• retrieve documents from the desktop computer with the WiFile software; and
• surf the web with the included web browser, which has been optimised for mobile surfing.

Customers in Hong Kong who purchase a LifeDrive from June 1 to August 31 will receive from Netvigator a free 3-month unlimited wireless broadband trial offer worth HK$234. LifeDrive users will be able to use the mobile manager's in-built Wi-Fi capability to surf at broadband speeds at more than 350 hotspots in Hong Kong. Additionally, LifeDrive users will have unlimited 3-month use of Netvigator's unique Wireless Takeaway service, which takes advantage of the LifeDrive's in-built Bluetooth and Wi-Fi capabilities to retrieve and send emails, and download news content.
